Clevatess II: The King of Magical Beasts and the Legend of the False Hero
Anime Info
Synopsis
Season 2 picks up not long after the events of Season 1. Alicia and the demon king Clevatess — now disguised in human form under the alias "Clen" — go undercover at the Priest Academy Solsain, searching for the secret research left behind by the mage Drel.
As the unlikely trio settles into academy life, new faces like the gifted student Ray and the disciplined Mary Merryweather enter the picture, while the shadow of a coming confrontation with the beast king's adversary, Vordein, looms over everything.

Our Review
Season 1 of Clevatess earned real praise for refusing easy answers — critics highlighted its morally grey take on "heroes" and "monsters," and its willingness to let violence sit uncomfortably alongside genuine tenderness between Clevatess, Alicia, and the baby they're raising. A few reviewers did note that the pacing dragged in spots, so it wasn't a flawless run.
Season 2 moves the story to the Priest Academy Solsain, swapping some of the battlefield grit for a school-arc setup as Alicia and Clen search for Drel's hidden research. It's a smart way to slow down and develop the newer cast — Ray and Mary in particular — before the story circles back toward Vordein.
Since the season is still airing as we write this, treat this as an early read rather than a final word — but so far it's holding onto what made the first season work. — DIDARUL ISLAM [Chief Editor]
