Synopsis
After a crushing defeat at the 2018 World Cup, Japan's football association searches for a way to finally produce a world-class striker who can carry the national team to victory. Their answer is Blue Lock: a radical, isolated training facility led by the eccentric coach Jinpachi Ego, built on a single ruthless philosophy — only the most egotistical, goal-obsessed player can become the world's greatest striker.
Three hundred of Japan's top high school forwards are gathered and pitted against one another in brutal survival matches. Losers face elimination from the program entirely, while the last one standing earns the right to become the sole striker of the Japanese national team.
Yoichi Isagi, a promising but underachieving striker who missed a title-winning chance in middle school, is one of the 300 chosen. Forced to abandon his old ideas of teamwork and confront his own selfish desire to score, Isagi begins a fierce journey of self-discovery inside Blue Lock, where friendship, rivalry, and ego collide on the pitch.
