Synopsis

In a world where anyone who dies can choose their next life, the most popular destinations come with brutal waiting lists — a cheat-skilled hero with a harem requires a 50,000-year wait, and even becoming a Demon King takes millennia. Unwilling to wait that long, an ordinary man who just died decides to take the fastest route available: reincarnating as something nobody else wants.

His first stop is the strangest of all — the rib of a legendary, harem-loving, happy-ending hero, observing the world from inside the hero's own chest. From there, guided by a blunt, unenthusiastic goddess, he cycles through one absurd reincarnation after another: a hermit crab, a talking clock hand, a vegetable, an exploding banana peel, and more.

Told through a mix of traditional animation, stop-motion, puppet theater, and live-action segments, this is a parody isekai built entirely around the joke of taking the genre's most tired tropes to their most ridiculous possible extreme.

Our Thoughts / Our Verdict

My Ribdiculous Reincarnation commits fully to its one-joke premise — taking isekai's most tired conventions (the overpowered hero, the waiting-list reincarnation, the harem ending) and pushing them to their most absurd possible conclusion, right down to reincarnating as a literal rib bone.

The show throws a genuinely unusual mix of tools at the material — traditional animation, stop-motion, puppet theater, even live-action segments — and that novelty carries a lot of the appeal. But the comedy itself is hit-or-miss: much of the humor leans on quick, low-effort reference gags rather than sharper writing, so mileage will vary a lot depending on your tolerance for rapid-fire parody over substance.

It's a decent, genuinely different pick if you want something weird and fast-paced to fill a slot, but it's not essential viewing — a solid curiosity rather than a must-watch. — DIDARUL ISLAM [Chief Editor]
