My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero's
Anime Info
Synopsis
Akira Oda is summoned to another world along with his classmates, but rather than receiving a Hero's class, he's given the far less flashy role of Assassin. His unremarkable nature turns out to be an asset when he's swept away to a fantasy realm, letting him quietly adapt to his new circumstances.
Suspicious of the king's true motives behind the summoning, Akira is soon framed and becomes a fugitive. It's then that he meets an elf girl named Amelia — and their story as legendary assassins begins.
As Akira uncovers the depth of his true abilities, he realizes his stats secretly surpass even the Hero's, forcing him to navigate a dangerous game of hidden power, betrayal, and survival in the shadows.

Our Review
This series plays with the familiar isekai "hidden strength" trope in a fun way — the twist of receiving the "worthless" Assassin class only to discover Akira's true stats far outclass the actual Hero gives the story a distinct identity within an increasingly crowded genre.
Sunrise's animation handles the action sequences with confidence, and the mystery surrounding the king's true motives keeps the political intrigue engaging alongside the more typical fantasy-adventure elements. Akira's partnership with Amelia and his growing found-family dynamic with characters like Yoru add welcome emotional beats between the action.
Recommended for isekai fans who enjoy a protagonist working from the shadows rather than the spotlight, with a solid mix of action, mystery, and light comedy. — AniSphere Review Team
