Synopsis
The Forger family is back to keeping up appearances for the sake of world peace. Loid Forger, secretly the elite spy Twilight, continues his long con at Eden Academy, where his adopted daughter Anya — a telepath who can read everyone's minds except her own family's secrets — keeps unknowingly saving his mission through sheer luck and chaos. Meanwhile, his "wife" Yor is secretly the deadly assassin known as the Thorn Princess.
This season picks up with more of the Forgers' school-life antics at Eden Academy, before shifting into the fan-favorite "Great Cruise Adventure" arc. Yor is assigned a dangerous solo mission to protect a mafia widow and her son aboard a luxury cruise liner from a horde of assassins, all while trying to keep the job hidden from Loid and Anya, who end up joining her on what's supposed to look like an innocent family vacation.
As Yor's past as a professional killer comes to the forefront, the season balances tense action sequences with the same warmth and comedy that made the family's fake-but-not-really bond so endearing in the first place.

Honestly, Season 2 is just as much fun as you'd hope. The Forgers slot right back into their fake-family shenanigans without missing a beat, and Anya's expressions alone are worth the price of admission.
The real highlight here is the Great Cruise Adventure arc, which finally hands Yor the spotlight and shows off just how terrifying the "Thorn Princess" can be. It's a nice change of pace from the school-life comedy, and Wit Studio and CloverWorks clearly had a blast animating the action scenes.
If we're being nitpicky, a couple of side characters like Yuri and Fiona can feel a little one-note, and the humor leans on some familiar gags a bit too often. But none of that gets in the way of a genuinely warm, funny, and exciting watch. If you loved Season 1, you'll have a great time here too. — DIDARUL ISLAM [Chief Editor]
