Synopsis
Arihito Atobe is an overworked office worker whose life ends suddenly in a freak bus accident. Instead of a normal afterlife, he wakes up in a mysterious new world called the Labyrinth Country, where explorers known as Seekers dive into dangerous dungeons to earn a living.
When Arihito is assigned his class, he doesn't get a flashy warrior or mage role — he becomes a Rearguard, a rare support class that can boost attack, strengthen defense, and heal his allies from the back of the party. What looks unassuming at first quickly proves to be an incredibly powerful and essential role.
Joined by a spirited demi-human mercenary, his former boss, and other skilled companions, Arihito sets out to explore the labyrinth's depths, growing stronger and forming close bonds with his all-female party along the way. Freed from his old corporate life, he's ready to start over as a Seeker and prove just how strong a Rearguard can truly be.

The World's Strongest Rearguard is a fun, easy-to-watch isekai with a fresh spin on the genre. Instead of a flashy sword hero, Arihito shines as a support-class MVP, and it's genuinely satisfying to watch a "weak" class turn out to be the real backbone of the team.
The dungeon fights feel tactical rather than just flashy, with a nice focus on positioning, timing, and teamwork. Maho Film's animation keeps the action clean and easy to follow, even during the busier labyrinth battles.
