Our Review
Season 2 moves the story forward in a real way — Makoto goes from wandering outcast to community leader, and the academy arc gives the world-building room to breathe that Season 1's single cour didn't have time for.
Reception has actually been a bit split among fans: plenty found it a genuine step up with sharper villains and real character growth, while others felt the two-cour length stretched the pacing thinner in places. It sits right alongside Season 1 on MAL at roughly 7.8, so the overall reputation held steady rather than dropping off.
Still a comfortable, likeable watch if you enjoyed Season 1 — just go in knowing the pacing has its slower stretches. — DIDARUL ISLAM [Chief Editor]
