Synopsis
Ordinary 27-year-old salaryman Tsuyoshi Mukouda is one of several people suddenly summoned to another world alongside a group of heroes. Unlike the others, though, his unique skill turns out to be something almost laughably mundane: unlimited access to an online supermarket back on Earth.
Written off as a dud by everyone else, Mukouda quickly realizes his "boring" skill is anything but — modern-day groceries and seasonings turn out to have absurd effects in this fantasy world. Using his cooking talents to befriend an intimidatingly powerful legendary beast named Fel and an adorable baby slime named Sui, Mukouda sets off on a laid-back, delicious journey across the continent, one home-cooked meal at a time.

Our Review
This is comfort-food anime in the most literal sense. There's barely any real conflict or stakes — Mukouda is powerful basically from episode one thanks to Fel — but that's kind of the point. It's a low-stress, mouth-watering hangout show about a guy cooking good meals for his found family of a giant wolf and a slime, and it fully commits to that vibe without apologizing for it.
MAPPA's food animation is genuinely gorgeous — the cooking scenes are easily the best-looking part of the show, all steam and sizzle. The world-building and plot stay pretty light, which some viewers might find undercooked (pun intended), but if you're here for a relaxing, wholesome watch rather than high drama, it delivers exactly that.
