Synopsis
Banaza is one of hundreds of people summoned to the Magical Kingdom of Klyrode to serve as candidates for the role of hero. But when the results come in, he's ranked dead last with a measly level of 2, and is quickly written off and banished to a monster-infested forest to fend for himself.
Left for dead, Banaza manages to defeat a slime, and to his shock discovers that his "level 2" status was hiding an absurd secret: his stats are effectively infinite, making him the most powerful being around by a wide margin. Rather than return to the kingdom and get dragged into its war against the demons, Banaza chooses a quieter path, disguising himself under the new identity "Flio" and settling into a peaceful life away from the conflict.
Of course, a man with limitless power rarely stays unnoticed for long. As Flio tries to live a low-key existence, he keeps crossing paths with knights, demons, and other unusual company, slowly getting pulled back toward the very war he was trying to avoid.

Chillin' in Another World leans fully into its title, and that's both its biggest charm and its biggest limitation. Flio's total lack of interest in power, fame, or drama makes him a refreshingly laid-back protagonist in a genre often crowded with power-hungry leads, and the show gets real comedic mileage out of him accidentally solving huge problems while just trying to relax.
J.C.Staff's production is clean and pleasant without being especially flashy, matching the show's easygoing tone. The large, colorful cast of demons and knights keeps things lively, even if the plot itself stays fairly episodic and low-stakes for most of the run.
