Synopsis
Programmer Ichirou Suzuki is deep into a punishing crunch period — the kind of "death march" that leaves you running on fumes — when he closes his eyes for what he thinks is a quick nap. He wakes up in a fantasy world instead, staring at a familiar-looking status menu straight out of the game he'd been developing.
Starting at Level 1 but armed with an unused "cheat" feature meant for beginners, he's instantly swarmed by a horde of lizardmen. Using it to survive sends his level rocketing to 310 and leaves him with a small fortune in loot — and just like that, under the new name "Satou," his second life in another world begins.
What follows is equal parts exploration, easy-going adventure, and slowly gathering a found family of loyal companions, as Satou wanders from town to town with more power than he knows what to do with.

Our Review
Satou is refreshingly low-stress as isekai protagonists go — he's already absurdly overpowered from episode one, so there's none of the usual struggle-to-get-strong arc. Whether that's a plus or a minus depends on what you're looking for; it makes the show feel more like a relaxed travelogue than a tense adventure.
Pochi and Tama in particular are a lot of fun once they join up, and the found-family dynamic that builds around Satou gives the show its warmest moments. It doesn't push much beyond genre conventions, though — this is comfort-food isekai through and through.
Worth a watch if you want something easygoing with a big, likeable harem cast, but don't expect much tension or a particularly deep plot. — DIDARUL ISLAM [Chief Editor]
