Synopsis
Yuuya Tenjou spent most of his life being bullied and ignored, with only his kind grandfather standing by his side. After his grandfather passes away, Yuuya finds a strange door hidden in the old house — and stepping through it sends him straight into a whole new world full of magic, monsters, and game-like powers.
The skills and treasures he gathers on the other side don't stay behind, either. They follow him back home, slowly turning his once-miserable everyday life into something completely different.
Season 2 picks up right after the events of the TV special, as Yuuya's double life between the two worlds grows even more chaotic with the arrival of a mysterious new girl, Iris Knowblade, who may hold the key to what comes next.

Our Review
Season 2 hasn't aired yet, so we're saving the real scores until we've actually watched it. But the hype is real — Season 1 was a fun, easy watch with a likeable underdog lead, and the returning creative team (director Shin Itagaki and character designer Hiromi Kimura) means the show should look and feel just as good this time around.
The TV special already raised the stakes with new "Fist Saint" and "Genesis Dragon" characters, and Season 2 adds Iris Knowblade into the mix — so there's a lot to be curious about heading in.
