Synopsis

Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! follows Kazuhiko Nukumizu, an unremarkable, friendless high schooler, after he happens to witness the school's most popular girl, Anna Yanami, get turned down by the boy she confessed to. From there, he keeps stumbling into the private, "losing" side of romance that his more popular classmates never show in public, as one heroine after another gets rejected by the person they liked.

Rather than staying a bystander, Kazuhiko slowly becomes a quiet confidant to these "losing heroines," including Anna, star athlete Lemon Yakishio, and shy literature-club member Chika Komari, helping them pick themselves back up in his own low-key way.

Season 2 picks up the story from where the first season's anime-original finale left off, continuing to adapt the light novel with more of Kazuhiko and the heroines navigating friendship, rivalry, and the messy feelings that come after losing at love.
