Synopsis
Sakuta Azusagawa is coasting through the final stretch of his second year at Minegahara High, savoring every remaining day with his girlfriend Mai Sakurajima before she graduates. But real life doesn't slow down for anyone — his little sister Kaede, who's finally been venturing out of the house again after years of being a shut-in, has to decide what comes next for her future.
When Kaede quietly reveals she wants to attend Sakuta's own high school, everyone around her — Sakuta, Mai, and Mai's half-sister Nodoka — jumps in to help her study for the entrance exam. But chasing a "normal" high school life brings old wounds back to the surface, and Kaede has to figure out, for herself, what kind of future she actually wants.

Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out is a warm, quietly emotional entry in the Bunny Girl Senpai franchise that puts the spotlight where it's always deserved to be: on Kaede, Sakuta's little sister. Watching her work up the courage to chase a normal high school life hits harder than any Puberty Syndrome mystery the series has thrown at us before.
CloverWorks keeps the animation soft and sincere rather than flashy, which fits the story's gentle pacing perfectly, and the Sakuta-Mai relationship gets some lovely, low-key moments as their high school days wind down.
