Synopsis
Life doesn't always give you a second chance, but for salaryman Tomokui Kanata, death does. After a tragic and untimely end, he wakes up in a brand-new world — as the weakest, lowliest creature imaginable: a goblin. Renamed Goburou, he's got no strength, no status, and no respect from anyone around him.
What he does have is his old memories, a sharp mind built for survival, and a very unusual gift: every time he eats something, he absorbs a piece of its power. In a world where the strong devour the weak quite literally, that turns out to be a game-changing edge. Goburou starts small, but every meal makes him a little less weak and a little more dangerous.
As he claws his way up the food chain — evolving, gathering loyal companions, and building the goblin mercenary band known as Parabellum — Re:Monster follows his rise from the bottom of the monster hierarchy toward becoming a force nobody in this unforgiving world can afford to ignore.

Re:Monster takes a premise we've all seen before — reincarnation into a fantasy world — and gives it a genuinely fun twist by making the hero start out as the weakest monster in the food chain instead of an overpowered hero. Watching Rou claw his way up through grit, strategy, and his "eat to grow stronger" ability makes the power progression feel earned rather than handed to him.
Studio Deen keeps the action lively, with solid monster designs and satisfying evolution moments that make every new form feel like a real milestone. The soundtrack backs the fights and quieter survival moments well, and CHANSUNG(2PM) & AK-69's opening theme "Into the Fire" sets the tone nicely from episode one.
Heads up though — this one leans hard into its R rating, with plenty of fan service and mature harem content mixed into the action, so it's best suited to viewers who are fine with a bolder, more adult spin on the isekai genre.
