Synopsis
When a new school term begins, second-year student Akihito Abikura finds out that his new homeroom teacher is Hiyori Hiwamura, a woman the whole school quietly fears and nicknames "Scary-Scary Sensei." Rumor has it she's cursed anyone who's ever crossed her, and most students go out of their way to avoid catching her attention.
But Abikura ends up seeing a side of her that nobody else gets to see. After school one day, he catches Hiyori completely off guard, and the fearsome teacher everyone talks about turns out to be a lot softer, clumsier, and more awkward than her reputation lets on.
That gap between her scary front and her surprisingly endearing real self is exactly what pulls Abikura in. What starts as a funny secret slowly turns into something warmer, as he decides to stick close to his teacher and help her through the things she struggles with, one embarrassing moment at a time.

Yowayowa Sensei is a light, easygoing rom-com built entirely around one simple idea: the "scary" teacher everyone's afraid of is actually a soft, clumsy mess once the classroom door closes. That gap between reputation and reality is the whole charm of the show, and honestly, it works well enough to carry all 12 episodes without overstaying its welcome.
If you're coming in for the romance, know that this is very much an ecchi-first title — the fan service is front and center, and the slow-burn feelings between Hiyori and Abikura take a back seat to the comedy and skin-show moments. That's not a knock against it, just a heads-up on what kind of show you're getting into. Viewers who enjoy the genre tend to have a genuinely fun time with it; viewers looking for a deeper romance plot will likely find it thin.
The OP and ED tracks are a highlight, the voice cast does solid work bringing out Hiyori's awkward-but-endearing side, and Brain's Base keeps things visually consistent even if the animation doesn't do anything flashy. It's a comfortable, funny watch rather than a must-see — a good pick if you want something breezy to put on after a long day.
