Ryo Mihara (三原涼) - The Water Magician

Ryo Mihara is the hero of The Water Magician. After passing away in an accident back on Earth, he wakes up in a brand new world called Phi, where he's given powerful water magic and a rare gift — he stops aging completely. All Ryo really wants is a slow, peaceful life, so he spends his first 20 years living quietly alone in a forest.

Appearance

Ryo looks like he's in his late teens, with black hair and dark blue eyes. He has a slim build with a tan from spending so much time outdoors, and people often describe him as good-looking. Even after twenty years, he never seems to age.

Clothing and Equipment

He starts out wearing the same clothes he died in — a simple hoodie, t-shirt, and sneakers. Later, after leaving the forest, he receives beautiful blue-and-white magic robes as a gift, along with a special water sword named Murasame that can extend into a full-length blade.

Personality

Ryo is upbeat, logical, and loves classic fantasy stories. He often surprises people with knowledge from his old life, since he used to study history back on Earth. He's a big coffee lover, enjoys good food, and has a playful, teasing side — especially with his friend Abel.

He's also kind-hearted, especially toward younger friends, and he really dislikes bullies, often stepping in to help whenever he sees someone being picked on.

Background

Back on Earth, Ryo lost his parents while he was in college and was later killed in a car accident just before turning twenty. After waking up in a strange white space, a mysterious being offered to send him to a new world with all his memories intact — and he said yes.

Abilities

Ryo turns out to be one of the most powerful water magicians in his new world. He barely needs to speak a spell out loud to cast it, and he can control water down to the smallest detail, letting him create ice walls, freezing attacks, and even healing techniques.
