Good news for fans keeping up with The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You — the ongoing third season just dropped a brand-new heroine visual alongside a fresh voice cast reveal.

Season 3 has been airing in Japan since July 5, 2026, and this update gives fans a proper introduction to one of the show's more surprising family members.

Meet Yaku Yakuzen

The spotlight this round is on Yaku Yakuzen — Kusuri's grandmother, though you'd honestly never guess it from how youthful she looks. She's already made her first impression on screen, sneaking in a quick cameo right at the end of episode 7 before getting her full, proper introduction in episode 8. Stepping into the role is newly announced cast member Rie Kugimiya, who anime fans may recognize from her recent turn as Maria in Grow Up Show.

About the Manga

The series is based on Rikito Nakamura and Yukiko Nozawa's romantic comedy harem manga, which has been running in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump since December 2019. It's up to 26 tankobon volumes as of July 2026, with a 27th on the way in Japan on September 17, 2026.

Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the manga in English, and the premise is as absurd as the title suggests: after striking out with a hundred different girls, unlucky protagonist Rentaro Aijo learns his rejections were actually a cosmic error — and now a meddling god is determined to fix things by making sure every one of those hundred girls turns out to be his fated soulmate. The catch: if he doesn't return their feelings, each one meets a horrible (and darkly comic) fate.
